Question: Why are lilies and butterflies symbols of Easter?

Lilies are a flower that blooms around Eastertime. They reflect new life coming up after the death of the flowers of the previous year. Butterflies also symbolize a new life out of an old one, a metamorphosis. Each in their own way point to the resurrection of Jesus - which makes them helpful symbols for Easter.
